Genre: Cello Solo

Date: 1990

Programme Note

This is for cello solo and was written way back in 1990. The title is derived from the mineral ‘Jet’, a type of lignite with an organic origin, being derived from decaying wood under great pressure. It is found near Whitby, and the Victorians used it to make ornaments and jewellery associated with mourning.
